Yes, you read it correctly 12 years, this is not a typo error, I know 12 years is not an ideal age for marriage but child marriage was a normal custom of India during those time.

For around 12 years Subhasini Devi lived a happy family life with her husband and four children. But catastrophe struck when her husband, Sadhan Chandra Mistry died early due to a lack of proper medical attention in a very minor Aliment. Sadhan Chandra was a street vegetable seller with minimal income, hence his death brought severe poverty to his family. Being widowed and uneducated Subhasini Mistry was found it hard to get a proper job to feed her four children. in desperation, Subhasini Mistry started to follow the pathway of her husband and started to sell vegetables in the streets. But soon she found out that whatever she is earning was not enough for her family. So, besides vegetable selling she stater work as a housemaid and daily wedge labor. with her hard-earned money, she prioritized the educations for her children. Also, she decided to save some of her money so that she can do something for society especially in the field of health care so that no other person had to face the same faith as her husband.

Subhasini Mistry's Works -

Her hard work finally came to success when Subhasini Mistry's son Ajay became a Medical Doctor. Subhasini Mistry decided that she would use all savings to buy land where she would make a clinic for the poor people. Soon her clinic gets famous when more than 200 people got proper treatment from this clinic by volunteer doctors. in 1995 this clinic turned into a proper hospital.
