Speaking about belief, let me tell you the story of Vignesh Sundaresan,
also known as MetaKovan. At this point, I am pretty sure that most of us do not
have any idea about this guy and what made him special. Well, let me give you
one fact that might make you interested in his story; he is the person who
bought the world’s most expensive digital painting, which is worth $69 million.
Back story Of Vignesh Sundaresan -
Going back to his origin, Vignesh is a soft were engineer, born in India
in the state of Tamilnadu in a middle-class family. Like most Indians, Vigness
also worked hard to be successful. In fact; if we go by his word, there is a
point in his early life when he did not even afford to buy a computer to learn
to program, because of which he had to borrow his friend’s laptop when he was
not using it, and thus finally learned to code. That’s not all the struggle he
had to go through, once Vignesh learned to code he built a simple website where
anyone can hire freelancers under $10. But unfortunately, it did not work as he
was expecting. Eventually, he created several other websites, 54 to be precise,
and most of them failed to expand. Vignesh completed his bachelor's degree from
Carleton University in Mechanical Engineering. Later from the same university
did a Master’s in Technology innovation management. After finishing his studies
in the university Vignesh took the path to become a professional software
programmer with a specialization in back end programming, open protocol,
including software product management and marketing as well as data mining.
Vignesh Sundaresan’s story to becoming an entrepreneur -
Although at this point in time, Vignesh was seeing a lot of failures and
none of his ideas seems to be working, Vignesh is becoming even more determined
to do something big. As a teen, Vignesh was fascinated with the stock market. This
was the time Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies were slowly gaining momentum and
popularity, the same caught the attention of Vignesh also. He started his
research on this topic and got fascinated by the prospect of Bitcoin. This is
when Vignesh decided to sum up all his saved money and invested it all into
Bitcoins. According to his words in one interview, “It was a global idea,
and it had people who were passionate about it from all over the world. That
really made me feel that this is going to be big.” This time his idea
clicked, and all his research and perseverance paid off. In the year 2013
Vignes started his first startup named Coins-e which he later sold Coins-e to
Casa Crypto in 2014. He is the one to first come up with the idea to create
Canada’s first Bitcoin Teller Machine (BTM) which he installed in Ottawa
Canada, which later became evolved into BitX one of the notable startups in
Canada.
Lendroid Foundation -
After the success of Coins-e Vignesh founded Lendroid Foundation. His dream was to create a global un-opinionated foundation to empower financial credit services on the Blockchain platform. Now the question is what actually is Lendroid. Well, it is an open protocol that is totally non-rent seeking, which deals with decentralized treading in ERC20 Tokens using the Etheruim Blockchain platform. Currently, it has been estimated the current supply of Lendroid support tokens is approximately 1,210,071,487.34 with 0 in circulation.
Portkey technology -
After Lendroid, Vignesh then went into creating another new organization
named Portkey technology PTE limited. Portkey which is based in Singapore is an
Information Technology farm which got registered on 14th Aug 2017. The
company is specialized in providing cutting-edge solutions using modern-day tools
and technology. It also helps institutions, providing expert solutions in project
management to save manpower costs by automating processes and various repetitive
programs.
World most expensive
Digital Art purchase -
Due to his success as a Blockchain entrepreneur and the huge boom in
Bitcoin market value, Vignesh became a billionaire. But this is not why Vignesh
can into fame. The spotlight turned on him when he made the World’s most
expensive NFT (non-fungible token) purchase of the digital painting called “Everyday”
from Mike Winkelmann, also known as Beeple (One of the
famous Digital artists) which was worth $69 million. “Everyday” is a collage of
5000 digital high-resolution images from Beepal’s Everyday series. Vignesh paid
$69 million for the digital Art for the right to exhibit this beautiful collage
in the digital museum in full resolution although he did not have the copyright
to it.
During an interview when Vignesh was
asked about his decision on the purchase, he said, “At the auction, there
was nothing on my mind. Actually, the funny part is, a lot of people thought
that I was nervous and stuff, I was not. I knew this was happening and I had to
do it. So I did it.” Vignesh further added, “We are planning to build the
monument in the Metaverse, which is a virtual space. We are going to build a
huge monument, and we are going to put this art there so that people can enjoy
the $440 million pixel art in its true form because it’s a digital native
picture.” According to him, he did not buy this picture as an investment
but to show support to all the digital content creators, such as artists,
musicians, singers all over the world.

Life style -
Although a Billionaire, Vignesh never
believed in showing off. As per the last received information regarding his
lifestyle, to this date, Vignesh is living a very humble life, he nighter have
any cars nor owns any house to live in. Now that’s a fascinating life choice
and a great success story we should learn. Vignesh is quite a young guy with a
