  As you might have already guessed, today our story is about Khabane Lame, who is also known as Khaby Lame. So without wasting any more time let's dive into the topic and discuss the story of Khaby.

Who is Khaby Lame? -

Childhood - 

Khaby Lame was born in Senegal in a Muslim household on 9th March 2000. Although born in West Africa, his family soon moved to Italy where Khaby was raised since he was one year old. The interesting fact over here is, Khaby, to this date does not have any Italian citizenship and only leaving in Italy with a Senegalese passport. From his school days, Khaby was quite an athletic boy, he used to represent his school in games like football (Socker) and basketball. 

Early carrier -

Initially Khaby Lame started his carrier as a CNC machine operative in a  factory in Italy, but due to the CoVID crisis, his factory had to reduce the workforce. Khaby Lame was one of the unfortunate workers who lost his job due to the deduction of manpower.

Road to become an internet sensation - 

Due to this job loss, Khaby Lame became financially challenged. But this job loss came to Khaby as a blessing in disguise. Without getting into the depression and all, Khaby thought about Making short videos as a pastime activity. Every day he used to create short videos in his room and upload it on the TikTok platform. Most of his videos were created to roast the Life Hack ideas with simple commonsense with dry humor. Soon his videos were blown out of proportion and memes are getting created with his emotionless picture with hashtag #learnfromkhaby and this is how Khaby Lame became famous. Very soon his videos started to cross the border and getting recognized all around the world. Within a span of few months, Khaby Lame become from being jobless to a TikTok sensation. Currently, the 21-year-old has one of the most followed TikTok accounts (@khaby.lame ) in the world and his followers crossed 100 million, making him Europe’s most-followed person. Apart from TikTok Khaby has huge followers on Instagram, almost 35 Million in total. Khaby also has a youtube channel where he posts similar kinds of videos.

Khaby Lame's earning and net worth -

In today's day and age, when the internet has the breakthrough influence on the furthest corner of the earth, it is quite impossible to predict how someone might get famous. Take Khaby's story as a case study, nobody, even I am pretty sure that Khaby himself, did not think that he would become this famous after his jobloss; and social media, specially TikTok will become the mode how Khaby Lame make money. It is estimated that Khaby earns around $50 K to $80 K per post, apart from the brand deals, which makes his estimated net worth of around 2 million USD.

Conclusion –

From the story of Khaby Lame, we can easily drive a simple conclusion, which is, if someone can overcome depression and self-doubt nobody can stop them become successful in life. Also if we just enjoy whatever we are doing, we can become happy no matter how worse is the situation. So be happy and keep doing whatever makes you happy (of course without disturbing others 😀).
